In Wrath of the Lich King, we were having difficulty downing one of the bosses in ICC on 25 man mode. During downtime between attempts, people starting to troll others by typing out the lyrics.
Soon, someone started piping the song to the raid. On repeat, and said that they would continue to do so until the boss was dead.
We pulled. Flawless Victory. The raid wide DPS was a fair few thousand higher that go.
This is beautiful.
Back in Cata, I would mute myself on vent and chatter with a fellow healer on Skype. On the more frustrating days, I would put on music for the difficult fights, making it fairly impossible for either of us to hear any of the raid leader’s requests on vent. This was one of the songs I played, along with Sailor Moon’s theme song, He-Man Parody “Hey, What’s Going On?”, Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries and my favorite, Yakety Sax.
We died a lot.

So, at complete random, I started netherwing dailies today.
I remember this chick showing up the last time I did this grind years and years ago, but it wasn’t until I saw her today that it dawned realized SHE’S THE FRICKIN DRAGON THING IN BASTION OF TWILIGHT.

All other complaints aside, I’ve gotta give Blizz an A+ for how they manage to tie in references as they develop new content.
I’ve read this somewhere else, BUT IT DOESN’T MATTER, IT STILL GETS A CHUCKLE OUT OF ME EVERY TIME.
